Baseball Practice #2

We finally had another practice this week. With the weather this week it was hard to find a field that didn't have water up to our knees. Danny and Brandon went and got all his practice clothing on Monday and now his looks like a real player. Brandon also got his first CUP.... LOL So Danny was in the living room explaining to him what the cup is for and how to put it on, about 15 minutes later I'm in the kitchen cooking dinner and I see him running through the kitchen. now I only see the back of him by the time he passes me and all I see is two butt checks with the strap around them. I laughed so hard and then I hear him sliding into the couch in the living room. I went to see what was going on and I see my son getting up from doing a nose dive into the foot of the couch and saying "Yep it works, the boys didn't get hurt". I laughed so hard my sides hurt... Little boys and the things they come up with. Needless to say he is ready for baseball and I can't wait to see what else he comes up with this season. LOL

Brandon's Baseball Practice

We are officially Softball parents now. Brandon's season just started and he is loving it. He is on the Shetland Major's and his team is the Yankees. His coach was impressed with his hitting ability and the strength of this throws. Now if he can just learn to control the direction of them. LOL It looks like he is going to have practice 3 times a week and his games are mostly during the week only one Saturday game so far. We will post more pictures of him throughout the season.

Celebrating My Birthday AGAIN

On Saturday My Aunt Mary Jane took me out to lunch at the Montage hotel in Laguna Hills. We had lunch at the Grille overlooking the ocean. It was a beautiful day, the weather was in the 80's with a cool breeze. I thought of my parents, Brother and dear friend Linda who all are up to the armpits in snow right now and I was sitting at the beach enjoying a wonderful day. After lunch we walked down to the cliffs and took some amazing pictures. When we left we ended up shopping at IKEA and Target. We arrived home to my husband fixing me a wonderful Chicken Parmesan dinner (thanks Emeril Lagasse) it tasted sooooo good. Way to go babe!!!

Here are some pictures enjoy.

This is our view from our table

The view from the lobby lounge

I love this spot

It is so beautiful here I didn't want to leave

Christy Turns 40!!!!

January 5 was the big day. We went to Cheesecake Factory for dinner and then to Cold Stone for dessert. I can't believe I'm in the 40 Club and my husband is still in the 20"s Club. At least I don't act like I'm 40, heck I still feel like I'm 25 and that's a good thing when your trying to keep up with a 5 year old all the time.

Having some fun at the L.A. Zoo

Our friends Joel, Tommy and Sapphire came down to visit for the New Year. We went to the LA Zoo together and had a great time, even though it was cold and some of the animals where inside keeping warm. Here are some pictures from our fun adventure.

I think she likes the Flamingo's

HMMM should I do it, I bet it's freezing cold

This little girl was a character.
She had everyone laughing.

They are so beautiful up close

Brandon and his little "girl friend"
I thought Tommy was going to have a heart attack when Brandon put his arm around his daughter. LOL, I hate o see him when she starts dating.

My Husband is a VERY HAPPY man

Today Danny and I went "looking" at cars to see what kind of deals were out there. Well we stumbled across this little beauty and the price was so good we couldn't pass it up. We were leasing his 2007 Honda Accord and he had WAY to many miles on it from driving all over the state of California working this year so I thought it was time to get rid of it. Now my husband is smiling from ear to ear and still can't believe his dream of having a truck is a reality. It's a 2004 Nissan Titan 4 door. He is so cute he keeps going to the window and looking outside to make sure it's really out there. LOL

What a Christmas

Well we survived Christmas, barely!!!! I was so busy baking and cooking that I forgot I needed to wrap all the presents. On Christmas Eve Brandon and I went to Lakewood to see his mom's family and celebrate Christmas with them. We had really good food and got really nice gifts. Brandon was the hit of the party. I swear he is a social butterfly. Well when I got home around 10:30 I went straight upstairs and was up all night wrapping. I now know why my parents looked the way they did on Christmas morning when they went to bed at 2:00 am and we woke them up at 4:00 am to open presents. I went to bed at 2:00 am and Brandon had us up at 7:30 am, I just could not do it. I made him wait till 8:30, Danny's cousin Lindsey was coming over to open presents with us. As you can see in the picture Brandon got a lot of things this year. After opening presents for almost an hour an a half, I made a huge breakfast and then started on dinner. My sister Alycia her boyfriend Brian, Lindsey, Kathy (Danny's mom) and my Aunt Mary Jane join us for dinner. After dinner we went over to Brandon's grandpa's house in Long Beach and I guess Santa left more presents over there for him. We watched Iron man and had dessert. It was a long day but we loved spending time with all our family and friends.
